All of our psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). This national registration standard ensures that all psychologists practice in line with a Code of Ethics document based on principles of respect, propriety and integrity, and engage in continued learning and development throughout their career. You can check any of our psychologist's registration through the AHPRA website by using their registration number.

Stevie is a registered psychologist and board approved clinical supervisor who has experience working with children, adolescents and families from a variety of backgrounds. Stevie has a particular interest working with those who have difficulties with anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders and attachment disruption. Stevie works from an attachment-based framework to assist individuals strengthen relationships with their support networks. Stevie has completed additional training in Circle of Security, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions. Stevie also has a strong interest in canine-assisted therapy, and the positive impacts that animals can have on wellbeing.

Mathew is a registered psychologist and board approved clinical supervisor with experience assisting children, adolescents, adults, and families in individual and group therapies. Mathew is interested in working with anxiety, trauma, and attachment based difficulties in young people. Mathew has completed training in Circle of Security, ACT, CBT, and Schema Therapy models of intervention. Mathew has had experience running a number of group programs with FSA Psychology, as part of external agencies, and in the local community. Notably, he developed a resilience- and emotion-focused program for boys at a local high school. Mathew continues to enjoy work with boys and young men particularly and is passionate about early intervention in shaping men's understanding of and attitude towards mental health issues. He is also passionate about the training and supervision of provisional and early career psychologists.

Megan is a registered psychologist who has experience working with adolescents, adults, families, drug and alcohol, suicidal and self-harming behaviours. She works collaboratively with the child or young person and their families using a variety of different treatments that are client centred and strength based. She has a special interest in trauma work and mindfulness practice. Megan is also an approved Victims' Services counsellor.

Ajdin is a registered psychologist with experience in community outreach mental health, and further study in transnational neuroscience. Ajdin is passionate about providing personalized approaches to psychotherapy in the child-adolescent-family context. Ajdin works with a focus on evolutionary psychology, bio-psychology, attachment theory, trauma informed and strengths-based approaches. Ajdin also has an interest in Canine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Cooper (aka. Boopy) Mujezinovic-Kirkland

Cooper (A.K.A Boopy) is golden retriever, a fully qualified assistance dog, and a very good boy. Cooper was in training with Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) from the age of 8 weeks, including 6 months of advanced training. His skills are up to international standards as outlined by Assistance Dogs International. Cooper’s co-therapists, Ajdin and Stevie, completed handler training with Cooper, and are qualified to work with him in public.

Cooper has a passion for Canine Assisted Intervention and has previously helped in OT sessions with ADA. His interests include; pats, belly rubs, liver treats, bumping his head on things, tug, and sleeping.

Kate completed her thesis on the impact of COVID-19 on school learning. She is particularly interested in developmental trauma and attachment. She has experience working with young people from a variety of backgrounds, including education, sports, and in-house care.

Kalynda is a clinical psychology registrar with an interest in working with children, adolescents and families. She has experience working in rural and remote mental health and with Aboriginal communities and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. With a background in dietetics, she has an interest in the interaction between food and mental health, along with other interests working with those who experience difficulties with anxiety, depression and trauma. Kalynda uses a range of approaches to work with the young person and their family to tailor a therapeutic intervention that will suit their individual needs. 

Kalynda is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who enjoys working in collaboration with people to help them achieve their health goals. She understands that each person and their situation is unique and takes the time to work with you to tailor an intervention that will suit your individual needs. Kalynda’s dietetic experience spans across a range of areas, including work with children, adolescents and adults, and families. She has experience working in rural areas that experience difficulties with food availability, and with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. As a Clinical Psychology Registrar, Kalynda can also support individuals to understand how food can impact their mental health.

Yasmin is a provisionally registered psychologist who is passionate about helping young people and their families navigate the complexities of mental health. Yasmin completed her thesis on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on an individual's psycho-social wellbeing, and recently completed her Masters in Professional Psychology. Yasmin has a particular interest in anxiety disorders and behavioural difficulties. Yasmin is passionate about early intervention, and adopts a warm and holistic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to the individual's needs.

Stephen has worked in the psychology field for 18 years, in a range of government, non-government and private practice positions. During that time, Stephen worked with people from a variety of backgrounds and mental health issues. Stephen uses several counselling approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation and Skills Training, Activity Scheduling, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Happiness and Positive Psychology, Relaxation and Stress Management Techniques (including Controlled Breathing, Deep Muscle Relaxation and Guided Imagery). Stephen's main area of focus is to provide adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress and adjustment issues, low self-esteem, chronic pain, substance use addiction and existential dilemma with strategies and techniques to manage their symptoms and enhance their wellness and overall quality of life. Stephen joins our team as a clinician in the Head to Health Pop Up Clinic.

Danielle joins the Head to Health team as a Mental Health Peer Support Worker.  Not only does Danielle have lived experience of mental illness she also has extensive experience within the mental health field, of over 16 years in a peer support role.  Danielle is currently completing the Masters of Social Work (Qualifying) degree through Wollongong University.  Danielle has an interest in supporting consumers on their personal recovery journey through goal setting and providing support around advocacy and referrals.

Cherie is a registered psychologist and board approved clinical supervisor. She has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of presenting problems. Cherie works from a varied framework of therapies including CBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Circle of Security, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy and Art/Craft Therapy. She is a qualified Mindfulness and Meditation Therapist. Cherie has completed further training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Suicide Intervention, Mental Health First Aid and Resilience. Cherie is working on becoming a credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. She is passionate about psychology, diversity and inclusivity.
